Dua Abbas Rizvi (b. 1987) is a visual artist and writer based in Lahore, Pakistan. She graduated from the National College of Arts, Lahore, in 2010 with a Distinction in painting, the Shakir Ali Award for excellence in fine art, and the Sir Percy Brown Prize for excellence in art history. She has exhibited widely across Pakistan and has numerous international shows to her credit. In 2017, she was selected to participate in the Stations of the Cross 2018 exhibition in New York, co-curated by author and curator Dr. Aaron Rosen. Her work, made specifically for the exhibition, was displayed in a solo presentation at the historic Cathedral of Saint John the Divine and featured in The Brooklyn Rail and Artnet News. Since 2008, Rizvi has been writing regularly on art and culture for leading Pakistani newspapers, journals, and magazines, including Dawn, The Herald, ADA, and The Friday Times. A few of her essays are slated for publication in upcoming books by international publishing houses Brepols and De Gruyter. She has also designed and taught drawing, painting, and art theory courses at the National College of Arts, Lahore.
