Noor ul Ain comes from Hunza, Gilgit-Baltistan. She has graduated with an undergrad degree in Fine Arts from National College of Arts, Lahore, Pakistan. Noor’s work is highly inspired both by nature elements and historical places. She has spent most of her early formative years in her hometown close to nature and historical places, connecting to both as a source of strength and healing against all the vicissitudes of life. The color pallet of her Art work betrays a close connection with nature and historical places: it is infused with organic forms and natural elements, put together through layers and spaces. Each layer carries with a unique event in artist’s life or manifests an ingrained thought. The timeliness of layers and the paradoxical nature of spaces can be connected to human personality. Noor likes to spend-as much time as she can afford-in solitude close to nature. She doesn’t shun her worldly responsibilities that involve people, but in her ideal haven there is very little room for fellow human beings, she feels connected to the deepest realms of thought and expression when she is in an intimate conversation with nature. Besides painting Noor spends most of her time doing photography. The Artist in the past has participated in various group shows in Pakistan including Young Artist Exhibition, Climate Change Exhibition at (PNCA), annual exhibition of Artist association of Punjab (APP), and a group exhibition of emerging artist’s at UNICORN gallery. Noor is currently working as an Art instructor for a NGO to promote children education.
